A productive opening day at AUSA

One of the big attractions of AUSA is the opportunity to meet with the good and the great of the US military – and we were privileged to kick off the show with a meeting between Abaco’s leadership team and Lieutenant General Larry Wyche. Now retired, Lieutenant General Wyche was formerly deputy commander of the Army Material Command in Redstone. It was great to hear him talk about how important it was that all of our efforts at Abaco should be focused on serving the needs of the warfighter – because that’s exactly why we’re in business. In fact, we just created a video – you can see it here – that demonstrates why we do what we do.

Our meeting with Lieutenant General Wyche was very productive. There’s probably no-one who knows better how to navigate the intricacies of Redstone’s Program and Contracting corridors, or is more familiar with the leaders there that we should be talking to.

Next up was a meeting between our leadership team and the CEO of a supplier we’re working with to bring to market exciting new solutions that align precisely with what our customers tell us they need. It’s too early to disclose details – watch this space! – but it was another very worthwhile session. My thanks to our Billerica team for helping to make it happen.
